DIM: Repurposed hearts

Repurposed hearts | ecogreenlove

In the past couple of weeks I had been looking for ways to use some scraps of fabric I had and a bunch of used and washed teabags.I decided to make some gifts for my penpals that would be completely made of repurposed materials. This was my attempt of a Did-It-Myself (DIM) and finally I came down to these:

For the scented sachets I used some used teabags that I previously washed and let dried. I even used thread that I had leftover from some other sewing projects. I used a stamp as a motif and as filling I used some shredded documents that I was about to throw away. For the scent I  rasped some lavender soap (really strong aroma) and filled the sachet along with the paper. This is the result:

For the cards I cut some (thin) carton boxes from granola bars we buy, the background paper is filling paper from online deliveries and the hearts were cut from old pyjamas and shirt.

Maybe are not the most glamorous gifts, but are handmade with lot of green care. What do you think?
