In the past couple of weeks I had been looking for ways to use some scraps of fabric I had and a bunch of used and washed teabags.I decided to make some gifts for my penpals that would be completely made of repurposed materials. This was my attempt of a Did-It-Myself (DIM) and finally I came down to these:
With the electricity bills skyrocketing, the major concern of the homeowner is energy consumption. But there is a simple way to cut back on the consumption, without having to spare much from your pocket. The solution being blinds, shutters and window coverings. Window coverings give your decor a lovely finish but they also provide many other uses to help keep your costs down throughout the year within your home.
Scrap tyres are, sadly, a serious hindrance to the welfare of our environment and to our health. It has become a far too common sight to witness towering piles of flaming, disused tyres that are a complete eyesore and emanate a horrendous odour. What makes this dumping of old tyres even more galling is that they can very easily be repurposed into items of practical value around your home, such as flowerbeds, swings and dog beds.
