I had a bunch of maps a friend gave me (trusting that I would do something with them). A couple of years after (😬) I joined the penpal group of Mexicans around the world, a great opportunity for me to send handmade-upcycled gifts. So i finally did something with those maps!
I used cereal cardboard as base and several folded layers of maps to make it stable, then I pierced where the nylon thread would go, attached a ribbon on top and finally put some transparent nail polish where the holes are to prevent from tearing. A nice little detail as gift, what do you think?

These would also be cute as luggage tags!
Never thought of that!! Than’s an awesome idea 💡 I will make another one for my next trip and upload the photo 😉
