Our succulent has a lot of new growth at the top nearly doubling its size. Should we trim it? Leave it be?

Yes, you can prun it, There are no special techniques for pruning succulent plants, other than using sharp tools to avoid any infection
I have one I haven’t prun in almost two years and is big and good looking but soon I will have to because some branches are not getting enough light
