I make a conscious effort to pick up plastic I find in my yard or blowing around in front of my house. It’s almost lazy, but I figure I’m doing something to keep some plastic out of the ocean.
Each of us should walk down our own street once a year with a bag and pick up all of the plastic we find. Just one bag. It would probably take 20 minutes to fill a shopping bag.
That’s a great thing you do, if you start at home is already a big step to make it conscious. Lately I have been carrying a bag to put all the small plastics I find on the streets where I walk, I’m thinking in making it a challenge and posting it to whomever wants to join!
Great idea. There are plank challenges, post a day challenges. Mark Zuckerburg has a run a mile a day challenge. Why not a pick up a piece of trash a day challenge for 30 days?
