Recipe: Easy Grape Jelly

Recipe: Easy Grape Jelly | ecogreenlove

It’s so easy to make jams and jellies. You can do it with any fruit or vegetable (I think)

This weekend I had some grapes that had to be eaten immediately and they were not sweet, so what’s the best way to use them up? Making jelly!

Easy Grape Jelly

  • Difficulty: easy
  • Print

INGREDIENTS:

  • 500g / 1pound grapes (I used green)
  • 250g / 8oz sugar
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice

METHOD:

  1. Cut the grapes in half with skin and blend (I didn’t blend them completely so it has some texture and chunks as you can see on the pic)
  2. Place the grapes, sugar and lemon juice in a pot (big enough) and bring to a boil over medium heat for about 25-35mins or until thickens (you can check with a wooden spoon when is ready by removing a little if you see the bottom of the pot then is thick enough)
  3. Pour into a jar (sterilized) and let cool completely in the fridge.

Enjoy best on a bread with cream cheese as base!
