I had a small bunch of grapes and some leftover blueberries in the fridge and didn’t want to eat them just like that (which are delicious) but wanted to prepare something that would refresh me in these hot days. So I found this recipe and adapted it, what do you think? Let me know if you give it a try

Grapes-Blueberries Tart

  • Servings: 2 medium or 4 small
  • Difficulty: easy

  • For pastry cream: (you can use instant pudding for easy version)
    • 6 egg yolks
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
    • 2 cups whole milk
    • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • cookie base is optional
  • grapes and blueberries
  • confectioner’s sugar


  1. Beat egg yolks and sugar until thick and light, beat in flour and cornstarch
  2. Bring milk to boil in a saucepan, then whisking constantly, gradually add milk to egg mix
  3. Return mix to saucepan and bring to boil whisking constantly until desired thickness. Stir in vanilla
  4. Fill in a form and top with grapes and blueberries
  5. Chill at least 2 hrs in refrigerator and dust with confectioner’s sugar before serving
