In order to avoid consuming more plastic, I decided to buy soap only in bars (they come in carton box), but for me (and for many others) is not too hygienic, so I searched how to turn a bar into liquid or gel. I found several sources that show how to DIY, all have the same principle: Grate – Add Glycerin, Essences and Oils – Boil and ready! Not complicated at all, I will definitely try it out!

Have you seen this Soap Schredder? I think is an interesting idea but would it replace the liquid gel? What do you think? Let me know your comments on the tutorials and don”t forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest 🙂
Sounds clever! Although if you’re going to all that trouble, you might at well make your own bar soap, right? Ours also contains coconut oil– we love it and could never go back to the commercial stuff.
That sounds even better! Would you share with us the link to your DIY? Thabk you for the comment 🙂
I will get back to you about that, probably tomorrow! Easy peasy. You will love it.
Here you are: Our homemade soap recipe. I’m sure it would make a fantastic liquid soap as well. That might be a good stage to add scented oils if desired! http://littlefallcreek.com/2014/11/14/basic-homemade-soap-recipe/
This is a great starter recipe, though I don’t use animal fat in mine. I’m leaving some tips on Kelly’s site that you both might like to read.
