Reusing old Yellow Pages / Phonebooks

I have so far 2 yellow pages and 2 phonebooks, they are updated every year or two. Most of them are made with recycled paper already, and many times they offer to recycle them or you just have to deliver them to a paper recycling bank.

Yellow Pages opt out recommends:

  • Check your local phone book for recycling information, usually in the front or back
  • If curbside recycling is offered in your community, you will likely have the ability to recycle Yellow Pages directories by putting them in your curbside bin
  • If curbside recycling is not an option, visit your county’s solid waste department’s Web site for recycling information
  • Contact your local Yellow Pages publisher for phone book recycling drop-off locations

Recycling & Upcycling Design Fair 2014 in Freiburg

FREI-CYCLE-logoLast weekend we had the opportunity to go to the Upcycling Design Fair in Freiburg, Germany hosted by Frei-cycle Deutschland. And here below we will show you some of the amazing projects designed and made out of recycled materials from aluminium bottle caps to cement sacks or parachutes!!! Amazing projects, incredible products! The only thing you need is an idea and there you go! There is plenty of material that usually end up in the landfill, so resistant to temperature changes or weight that lasts ages to be decomposed! Why not give it a try and start reusing from our homes in order to reduce the waste?
